Throughout my own therapeutic journey, I've come to understand how nerve-wracking the counselling process can be. However, through my strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, my goal is to guide you on a path towards self discovery as I gain insight about your strengths and help you tap into them.
I tailor each treatment plan based on my client’s individual needs, making my approach eclectic and organized. I have experience working with those who have struggled with general mental health concerns, including (but not limited to), depression, anxiety, dissociation, grief and trauma . My practice is also LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly.
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and am educated in other evidence-based modalities such as: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused, Gestalt, and Narrative. I hold a respect for trauma-informed therapy and have completed a course through Pain Foundations BC to help support people struggling with chronic pain.

My faith is the cornerstone of my identity and informs my approach to counselling. I believe that each person’s story is precious and meaningful, and I’m dedicated to creating a supportive, compassionate environment grounded in Christian values. My wife and I moved to Saint John 24 years ago, where we raised three amazing children and remain active in our church and community.
In addition to my formal education in counselling, life itself has been a teacher. I have firsthand experience with raising a daughter with autism and developmental delays, and I’ve firsthand knowledge with chronic pain, addiction, grief, anxiety, and depression. I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find hope, healing, and purpose.
My counselling approach is primarily Psychodynamic and Transgenerational, focused on understanding you, your story, and what makes you who you are. By exploring the people, places, and experiences that shape your life, I hope to help you write the next chapter of your story with faith and purpose. When issues require a quick resolution, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you regain balance and confidence.
I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and walking alongside you on your journey.

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Licensed Counselling Therapist - Candidate) with over a decade of experience in grassroots activism, harm reduction, and social justice. My work honours the uniqueness of each person’s story while recognizing how systemic inequality and generational trauma shapes mental health and identity.
Grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), my approach integrates aspects of Narrative, CBT, ACT, EFT, Existential Therapy, Art Therapy, and mindfulness to create individualized, creative, and transformative therapeutic journeys. I’m passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where clients can reconnect with their inner strength, reclaim their narratives, and build lives rooted in authenticity and connection.

I am a licensed counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from St. Thomas University.
I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My passion for the mental health field began during my time as a behavioural interventionist with Autism Intervention in Saint John, NB, where I supported individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
I bring a warm, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach to my work, drawing from both my education and hands-on experience to help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Outside of my professional practice, I value time with family and friends and remain committed to ongoing learning and personal growth as a therapist.
I tend to draw from approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma-informed care, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I always strive to meet clients where they are.
I work with clients who struggle with:
· Depression
· Anxiety
· ADHD

My counselling approach is humanistic. I believe in your innate worth and focus on what
matters most to you. I don’t see you as broken or deficient but as a human being with
life experience, and strengths. I hope to create a space of care and compassion, so that
you may find a way to do that for yourself too.
I draw from person-centred, experiential and existential theories, and have training in
Emotion-focused therapy, Emotion-focused family therapy and CAMS (Collaborative
Assessment and Management of Suicidality).
My background is in nutrition counselling. As a Registered Dietitian I helped individuals
of all ages and their family’s navigate nutrition and eating concerns for over 20 years,
before I advanced my skills with a Master in Counselling Psychology, and moved into
mental health counselling. I support youth, adults, older adults, and families. I have

Jessica is completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Kingswood University, located in Sussex NB. She has previously completed her Bachelor of Arts degree through the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, majoring in Psychology and Philosophy. Prior to starting her journey of graduate level education, Jessica held supportive roles as a coach and mentor; focusing on women’s emotional support and well-being.
From Jessica:
"My own healing journey recovery journey with Christ led me to want to help others find freedom from the very things I struggled with.
I grew up in an environment marked by emotional neglect, abuse and instability, and I know firsthand how long those early experiences can echo into adulthood. I’ve also worked with countless women who feel broken by the weight of relational trauma, unhealthy family systems, or cycles of self-abandonment. I want to be someone who sees, hears, and believes in my clients not just for who they’ve had to be to survive, but for who they’re becoming.
Yes, ideally my approach is grounded in my faith, but it’s not limited to working only with people who share that belief system and would navigate that in a way that allows everyone to feel welcome, regardless of their faith, spirituality, and beliefs.
