You are seen. You are heard. You matter.
Our clinical traumatologist got her certification in traumatology through the Traumatology Institute of Canada. Licensed in the province of New Brunswick as a Licensed Counselling Therapist (Candidate), she follows Judith Herman's model of a tri-phasic approach to find healing that grows over time. The three pieces to this model are safety and stabilization, remembrance and mourning, and reintegration. The key focus of this approach is to build a life that is more liveable for individuals who have experienced trauma.
As part of a trauma-focused approach, Seen Heard Found offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy as highly effective and safe approaches to PTSD, cPTSD, trauma, dissociative disorders, and a wide variety of other concerns.
These evidence-based approaches can be used separately or combined as a way to understand the past, live in the present, and plan for a healthier future.
Our team welcomes any mental health concern you may have. We will work with you to understand the impact of your specific mental health challenges and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. By working with you rather than for you, our therapists use evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused, and narrative therapy to tailor a healing plan to your specific needs.
