Inclement Weather

Storm Policy

As a rule of thumb, if schools are cancelled in the local district (ASD-S) in the Saint John and surrounding area, all sessions on that day will be switched to virtual. In the case of road closures, please reach out to your clinician. If you are uncertain, please reach out to your clinician and they will gladly assist you.

What happens if I am not able to have a virtual appointment when it's a storm day?

If schools are cancelled/roads are closed, and you do not have access to a safe space for a virtual appointment, please contact your clinician to either reschedule or plan for a better option.

What happens to my session time if the weather is bad and I am unable to attend?

If the weather is bad, and you do not feel comfortable or safe to commute to the office, please reach out to your clinician and they can switch to a virtual option for you or reschedule the appointment.

When illness happens

Illness/Cold and flu response

Currently, both in-person and virtual options are available.  If you are feeling ill and require a change in your appointment (e.g., in-person to virtual or reschedule),  please notify your clinician.

If your clinician is ill, it is clinic policy that they take care of their health as a priority. This means, when ill, you clinician will reach out to adjust to virtual or reschedule based on how they assess their health at the time of the illness.

Although masks are no longer required in this space, masks are welcomed when choosing to wear them.

What if I wake up sick the day of my appointment?

Fear not! Your clinician will work with you to find your next best step. We understand that you cannot predict when illness happens, and we are ready to respond with kindness and understanding
